Diaphanous Dreaming

Diaphanous Dreaming explores the subtle manipulations of light, layering and delicate details in nature. Many of the images were not edited, but instead, sheet glass and reflective or transparent materials in nature were captured in moments of diaphanous superimposing. These moments are few, fleeting and ephemeral and almost too subtle to notice in daily life, feeling instead like a daydream.

Diaphanous Dreaming

The veins of the leaves run red through the trees

Looking glass

Wings

Get under a tree and look up through the leaves

Petals

Drops of silver moon

Gusts of gold

Rustle of leaves in the high canopies, home to the birds and my heart

Up above they reach for the sky, but there’s another path hidden from the eye

I look up at the sky everyday, float away

Warp, contort, distort

Imagination is a kingdom of light series
